Capital Innovation is an event designed specifically for investors who are seeking innovative companies, operating in Québec, selected for their quality, their business potential and their leadership. Targeted invesments: between $100 000 and $1M. 

Guests speakers

Dr. Ian Patrick Sobieski - Founder and managing director of the Band of Angels Fund, the Silicon Valley's oldest seed funding organization. The Band had more than 120 former and current high tech executives, has invested approximately $180M of capital into 200+ startup companies. Dr. Sobiesky has been a founding partner in three venture funds totaling $65M in capital.

Mr. Jacques Bernier – Managing partner of Teralys Capital, he is a highly respected venture capitalist, entrepreneur and investor who’s helped shape the Canadian technological innovation scene. He has been actively involved in more than a dozen emerging high-tech companies as Founder/CEO or angel investor.

  • Following Capital Innovation 2008, 2 out of 3 companies signed agreements with angel investors and specialized funds;

  • Investments of close to $2M
  • Close to one hundred participants, including 38 investors;
  • Finalists obtained meetings with, on average, 3 investors
